Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (VI/2-1)
It must be demonstrated that the following tasks, duties and responsibilities may be exercised:
- responsibility for boats as they are lowered into the water and then
- responsibility for boats as they are lowered into the water and then
- dealing with survivors to abandon ship
- positioning, messaging, sign production, use of pyrotechnic articles
- first-aid measures for survivors
Conditions apply:
- The proof is valid indefinitely, but expires after 5 years if it was not used.
- Precondition to obtaining the qualification is the basic safety training as per A-VI / 1 and the certificate of competency watch keeping deck and watch keeping engine.
